My Preeeeecious…whoops. Sorry got carried away there. I really love rings as you can tell and feel they compliment both men and women in such a glorious fashion! When it comes to selection there is no shortage of choices; let your artistic preference decide upon a style that’s right for you. For women the choices are endless. Styles range from: Bohemian, Indian Boho, astronomical (stars moons), leaf style, V shaped, stone based, signet, edgy, and minimalist. Phew. These rings can be worn as a singularity with respect to modesty or conversely with an indulgence for lavishness.
For example, an extravagant approach for the adventurous is stacking; wherein you can stack multiple rings to create an individual style. Start minimalist and end Boho. Caveat emptor, remember you can always over do it, ergo the general rule applies: less is more.
While women’s approach to ring fashion leans toward the extravagant men’s on the other hand leans toward subtlety: to wear only one…and one ring to rule them all! Ahem…what I mean to say is that men usually wear only one ring their entire life, aside from the obvious: the wedding band. Men’s choice in rings is usually determined by three categories: affiliation, family, and artistic preference.
Affiliation rings usually comprise the fraternal, ancestral, and class rings. Family rings are usually associated with something historically unique to a family’s history; and could be little more than a trinket to the discernment of an outsider, but to the wearer it may hold great significance. Lastly, the artistic rings lean toward one’s personal inclination for expression. Styles vary anywhere from razor laced to a friggin’ pirate skull (yes that was me at one point)! Reserved do gooder or Brash swashbuckler? You be the judge.
Anyway, that’s my mundane perspective on rings and character each brings to the table. Till next time, ciao.
