Love is in the air…and I’m all out of love! I hope you got that reference. Valentine’s day is that beautiful time of year where you can really show your sweetheart or significant other how much you love them; hopefully they haven’t forgotten lol. Now before you go out and buy the first thing you see have you considered what kind of taste your loved one has? Are they into jewelry that is casual, flamboyant, or classy? Something simple and heart shaped or maybe something festooned with classic symbols of love e.g. hearts and arrows?
An easy way to categorize and narrow down your choices is with two options: charms or gemstones. A very popular way of showing gemstones is with the necklace. You can customize your sweethearts’s necklace with their birthstone. Kohl’s is a great place for necklaces.
The other very popular alternative for jewelry is something customized with charms. A bracelet for example, can be customized with classic valentine’s day symbolism. Or you can get something more creative and personalized: a necklace or charm with something on it that represents your strong bond with your loved one. For example, with sign of faith or perhaps the name of a location where you two first met or even were married. Think something that you both only know; something between only you two. I really like Pandora for it’s variety of charms. Etsy is really great too.
Also, keep in mind affordability. Sterling and cubic zirconia are ideals if you want something that is elegant looking and at the same time is very much affordable.
Now get out there and show your significant other some much needed adoration! And maybe even sing them a song, “However far away…I always love you.”
